Are there delays with VRT?
Hi, I have paid a deposit for a used car that was imported from the UK, so the dealer has to have it VRT registered. It seems like the revenue has a huge backlog to deal with and no VRT info is reverted to the dealer and no one knows how long it takes to get the car registered. Anyone has similar experience? or anyone know how long does it take to have the VRT registered these days? Thanks.

Hi Emily,
We've also heard that there is a longer than usual delay for VRT appointments. It's likely to be due to a number of factors, including the imminent potential for a 'no-deal' Brexit, restrictions around Covid-19 and the VRT band changes coming in January. I'm afraid we can't say how long you will be waiting.
