I bought a 191 Renault Captur recently on 3 year PCP, I've now realised that I don't like the car and want to go back to a Ford, can I trade this car in, clear the finance and start again ?

This might well be the perils of trying before you buy – did you drive the Captur for a good distance before signing up to the PCP? Sadly, these deals are deliberately designed to prevent customers doing precisely what you are suggesting. If you’ve paid half of the outstanding balance, you can opt for a Voluntary Termination, but you won’t be at that stage yet. You can also seek a settlement figure from Renault Finance to find out how much you’d need to buy the car and end the PCP early, but this is going to be nearly the price of the car (as there will be penalties for breaking the PCP early). Regrettably, we think you’re better off sticking the Renault out for another 18 months and then see what you can do from there.
