The new all-electric Honda e will go on sale in Ireland from November 2020, priced from €29,995 inclusive of SEAI grants and VRT relief totalling €10,000. Available from several Honda dealers, the compact Honda e is equipped with futuristic technology and what Honda claims is the most comprehensive range of standard safety features in its class. The Honda e is made for urban driving and built on a dedicated EV platform, with a 35.5kwh battery that offers 222 kilometres of range and the potential to charge up to 80% capacity in 30 minutes of rapid charging.
The Honda e is distinctive in terms of styling, withpop out door handles and a side camera mirror system, along with an eyecatching circular LED light design at the front and rear. Inside, contemporary materials create a relaxing and lounge like space, while five integrated colour screens span the entire width of the car’s interior, with the side camera mirror systems at either end of the dashboard. For the first time in Ireland the Honda Parking Pilot is available on the Honda e, which assists the driver in locating an appropriate space and manoeuvring the car into it. Honda's SENSING has also been enhanced with three new functions: Lead Car Departure Notification System, Collision Mitigation Throttle Control and Low Speed Brake Function.
